New Mexico “West Bound” adventure Stage 4

Postby BackpacknJack » Sat Feb 23, 2008 10:38 am

Friday morning 2/22/08
Albuquerque, NM: Is that a bird, is that a plane - no - it’s just BackpacknJack and CowboyFloyd in a hot air balloon. YeeeeeHaaaaa :!:
Couldn’t get the pilot to use the balloon to hunt caches though. :( What a chicken :)
Friday afternoon 2/22/08
Albuquerque, NM: We road on the longest tram in the world, Sandia Peak Tramway, then after an oil change and a *huge* lunch we turned the cache-mobile East and towards home sweet home. It has been a very interesting and beautiful and fun 1,180 mi trip so far. I hope all of you get to do this one.
Saturday morning 2/23/08
Tucumcari, NM: We are working our way back home along I-40 and Old Route-66 but caching is on hold right now unless we can out-run this rain. We have found only 35 caches so far but they have pointed us to some of the most interesting places in the country. We hope your next caching adventure is just as much fun.

Sounds like you are having a grand trip. Bring that rain back with you, the rivers need some more.
