There are about 60 of these “Delorme” challenges.
Arkansas’ Delorme Challenge is “DeLorme” > GC14TRP < by majii
At least one cache find from each of the pages of a Delorme Atlas in that particular State must be found to get the coords or be able to log this find.

I'm working on this challenge, in fact I drove 521 miles this Friday and Saturday to get a few of the pages I didn't have in south Arkansas. Well there is also the fun of just running around and the thrill of running 75 on the back roads (just to get passed by almost every one) to stay between hail storms and tornadoes until I could get to a large building to park behind.
Anyway, here are the pages I know I've completed plus the missing ones (I may already have some of the missing ones and just haven't figured it out yet)
22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, __, __, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64

This last weekend I added pages 27, 28, 29, 35 to the list of visited areas. I was a lot closer to completing this challenge then I first thought and I have just 2 more to go. I have explored all around these 2 areas without ever checking out the caches there because they were never loaded into my GPS. Shame on me right? Well I will take care of that soon I hope and thus NO page will have gone unturned by me.
Anyone else working on this challenge?

I've been working that direction myself, though I've only made one "special" trip out to Blytheville to fill in some squares. I have detoured off a route while traveling to cross into another "page" and get a cache several times this year though.

When I get close to 900 I'm going to go up north and look for the "Gorrilla Stash" which is on a page I haven't found any caches in, so that trip will serve double duty, then sometime over the summer I plan to sweep as many caches across the southern part of the state as I can (there aren't very many down there) to sew up that area and I will be done.

Hopefully I'll manage all that before I reach 1000 and can make the DeLorme Challenge #1000. (unless I hear about some other cache that deserves to be #1000 instead before I get that far.)

I took a little trip to Paris and Bloomer and Lavaca and even visited Andy Griffith in Mayberry [GC12JDA] yesterday to finish the last 2 pages (38 & 39). If you like road trips that include lots of rolling hills with nice lakes and streams plus lots of horses and cattle and pleasant surprises all along the way, this old hwy is a good way to see Arkansas from the back roads. I highly recommend it and I think you may be very surprised at how nice the towns and it's people are. Great trip.

Congrats Jack.

I'm working on this one myself, but caching has been a low priority for the past few weeks and once it does come into season again it's gonna take some time to get all those blasted southern areas.

Even at that I may hold out to make it #1000...or not, lol.

On March 30th, 2008 "deepdiverdave" completed the Arkansas Delorme Challenge. He was the 9th person to complete this challenge!!!

Hmmm, I might be on track to get those caches found by then. That does give me a bit over two months. Lots of ground to cover though....

I have been making zero progress on this so far this Spring. Between the heat sapping my desire to be outside and the price of gas sapping my wallet I haven't been doing too awful much caching. I picked up a few incidental urban caches in Conway yesterday, but only because I was in the area on my way to a river to cool off. Those deep south caches are looking more and more like too much effort and gas money to go seek, at least before the weather cools off in the fall.

Congrats goes out to "Rhone"
On June 14th, 2008 "Rhone" completed the Arkansas Delorme Challenge. He was the 12th person to complete this challenge so now Rhone has also left no page unturned in his Arkansas Geocaching adventures!

Okay, okay. I had to force myself to do it, but after 12 hours to find only 13 caches over 430 miles I've made the southern sweep leaving me with two remote pages up north to get.

Looks like you might have to get that coin after all.
